     21 अक्टूबर , 1944 की शाम को मद्रास सूबा में Coimbatore ( कोयम्बटूर ) में एक आम जलसा हुआ जिसमें नगर की प्रतिष्ठित और विद्वान जनता शामिल थी । हुजूर पुरनूर ने ' A Better World Order ' विषय पर भाषण दिया । हुजूर ने फ़रमाया कि गत पाँच वर्षों से संसार वर्तमान युद्ध की भयानक बरबादी और रक्तपात को देख रहा है । अभी तक इसी प्रकार के विनाश और रक्तपात जो पहले महायुद्ध में हुए थे लोगों के दिमाग से मिटे नहीं और कोई नहीं कह सकता कि हमारी आने वाली संतानों को भी अपने जीवन में कितनी ही इससे भी बुरी बरवादियों के तजरुबे हों । इस समय हर देश के कोने से एक ही आवाज उठ रही है कि अब ऐसी नयी व्यवस्था यानी New Order ( न्यू ऑर्डर ) स्थापित हो जिसमें लोग सुख से अपना जीवन व्यतीत कर सकें । और जिसके कायम होने पर ईर्षा व द्वेष जो देशों में फैला हुआ है वह सदा के लिए दूर हो जाय और भविष्य में युद्ध का कोई डर न रहे । भविष्य में कभी युद्ध ही न हों यह असंभव सा मालूम देता है लेकिन बहुत हद तक ऐसा इंतजाम होना मुमकिन है जिससे देशों के लोग सुख से अपना जीवन व्यतीत कर सकें । और अलग अलग देशों में एकता व मेल का संबंध कायम किया जा सके । इस प्रकार के World Order ( वर्ल्ड आर्डर ) के स्थापित करने के लिए जो शर्त सबसे जरूरी है वह यह है कि जिन लोगों को रोजमर्रा के कामों व प्रबन्धों को पूरा करना है और जो शासन के स्तम्भ व पदाधिकारी हैं मैं उनमें ऐसे लोगों को भी शामिल करता हूँ जो बुद्धिमान व दूरदर्शी हैं , वे सब मिल कर इस उद्देश्य की पूर्ति में सच्चाई व ईमानदारी के साथ पूरी कोशिश करें ।

    फिर फ़रमाया कि ऊँच नीच का भेद भाव व अंतर एक दम दूर कर देना चाहिए । हमको चाहिए कि रैंग , सम्प्रदाय , नस्ल और धर्म में कोई भेदभाव न रखें और न इसके अनुसार बरताव करें । मेरे विचार से कोई भी ऐसा समझदार शख्स न होगा जो इस बात पर विश्वास करे कि इस संसार का एक से अधिक रचने वाला है और जब सारे संसार का एक ही रचने वाला है तो संसार के सब लोगों को अपना भाई व बहिन समझना चाहिए । यदि जो बातें मैंने ऊपर वर्णन की हैं उनसे लोग सहमत हैं तो इसके बाद उनको इस बात पर गौर करना होगा कि संसार में इस तरह के न्यू ऑर्डर के स्थापित करने के लिए कौन कौन से उपाय करने होंगे ? लोग यह कह सकते हैं कि इस प्रकार का ऑर्डर कायम करने के लिए आवश्यक है कि लोगों को अपने विचारों व विश्वासों के रखने में पूरी आजादी हो । उन्हें जीवन की जरूरतों से बेफ़िक्री प्राप्त हो । और उन्हें हर प्रकार की बीमारी से छुटकारा मिले । सुनने में ये बातें बहुत अच्छी मालूम होती हैं परन्तु इनका असली फ़ायदा उसी समय प्राप्त हो सकता है जब कि उन्हें कार्यरूप में लाया जाए । इस बारे में मैं यह तजवीज करूँगा कि जिन लोगों के सुपुर्द ऊपर लिखे आदर्शों के स्थापित करने के संबंध में क़ायदे व कानून का बनाना हो उनको इस काम में अपने निजी स्वार्थ , राग व द्वेष को बीच में नहीं लाना चाहिए । उनको इन सब कामों को विशाल हृदय से समझना चाहिए जिससे उनके उन कायदों व क़ानूनों के बनाने का परिणाम यह हो कि लोग बड़ी से बड़ी संख्या में आराम व सुख प्राप्त कर सकें ।

    14 A public meeting was held in the evening of the 21" of October 1944 at Coimbatore in Madras Presidency in which eminent and learned men of the city participated. Sir R.K. Shanmukham Chettiyar presided. Gracious Huzur Mehtaji Maharaj spoke on the subject of 'A better World Order'. Gracious Huzur observed, "For the past five years the world has been witnessing the terrible destruction and bloodshed of war. Destruction. and bloodshed of a similar nature that had taken place in the first world war have not yet been effaced from the minds of men and no one could say that the coming generations might not have to experience in life even worse kinds of destruction. From the corner of every country at this time there is but one cry that such a New Order should be established in which people might pass their time in comfort and by the establishment of which jealousy and hatred that have spread in various countries might vanish for ever and there may be no fear of wars in future. That there should be no war in future appears to be rather impossible but to a large extent an arrangement is possible under which people could pass their lives in comfort and relationship of harmony and concord could be developed in different countries. The condition that is most essential for establishing this type of world order is that persons who have to look after daily matters and arrangements and who are the pillars and office-bearers of theadministration, and in this I include such men who have wisdom and foresight, should jointly make an effort in fulfilling this object with sincerity and honesty" He then added:

     "Distinction and difference between high and low status should be completely obliterated. We should make no distinction between men of different colour, creed, race or religion nor should we behave accordingly. In my opinion there is no sensible person who would believe that there are more than one creator of the world. And when the Creator of this world is one and the same, one should consider all the men in this world to be brothers and sisters. If people agree with what I said earlier they should ponder as to the various means they would have to adopt for establishing such a new order. People may say that in order to establish such an order it is essential that they should have full freedom of thought and belief They should have full freedom in expressing their ideas, they should be free from anxiety for their necessities of life and they should get rid of all sickness. It appears nice to hear all these things, but they can be of real good only when they are given practical shape. In this connection I would propose that the persons who are entrusted with the work of making rules and regulations for the purpose of establishing the type of ideals mentioned above, should not let their selfish ends, desires and rancour come in between. They should consider the matter with a large heart so that the result of making such rules and regulations would be that people in as large a number as possible derive comfort and happiness.
