बचन नं 8

 12 जुलाई , 1953 को छात्रों के सतसंग में हुजूर ने फ़रमाया . इस समय आप लोगों की पढ़ाई का नया साल शुरू होता है । अब आप सब उम्र में एक साल आगे पहुंच गए हैं और आप में से कम से कम 95 प्रतिशत छात्र पढ़ाई में भी एक दर्जा आगे बढ़ गए हैं । जैसा कि क़ायदा है उम्र के साथ साथ आप लोगों की जिम्मेदारी भी बढ़ती जाती है । आप लोगों को तीन बातों का ख्याल रखना चाहिए ( 1 ) पढ़ाई का यानी जो वक़्त मिले उसका ज्यादा से ज्यादा हिस्सा पढ़ने में लगावें । ( 2 ) शारीरिक व्यायाम का पूरा ख्याल रखें , इसमें जरा भी कोताही न करें । ( 3 ) शिक्षा विभाग से हुक्म आ गया है कि अब स्कूलों व कॉलेजों में दाखिले की शर्त यह होगी कि हर दाखिल होने वाला छात्र सोशल सर्विस या समाज सेवा में भाग ले और जो इसमें हिस्सा नहीं लेगा उसे या तो प्रवेश न मिलेगा या प्रवेश करने के बाद अलग कर दिया जावेगा । दयालबाग में सोशल सर्विस का काम अर्से से जारी है और लड़के , लड़कियाँ , स्त्री , पुरुष , बूढ़े और जवान सभी इसमें भाग ले रहे हैं । आपको चाहिए कि सोशल सर्विस के संबंध में जो काम यहाँ हो उसमें अवश्य भाग लें । देश को इसकी आवश्यकता है ।

 Addressing the Students Satsang on 12h July, 1953, Gracious Huzur remarked- You are commencing your new academic year and all of you have thus advanced one year in age and at least 95 percent of you have also advanced one year in your studies As an advance in years brings along with it added responsibilities, your responsibilities are also now greater than before. You should therefore keep three things constantly in view:

 FIRST, your studies i.e. you should devote the greatest portion possible of available time to studies;

 SECONDLY, you should always give physical exercise its due importance and never neglect it; and

THIRDLY, according to the instructions of the Chancellor and also according to the circulars already received from the Education Department admission to schools and colleges has now been made conditional on the applicant's agreeing to take part in Social Service and those who are not willing to do so will either not be admitted at all or, if already admitted, will be removed. Social Service work has been a special feature of the life in Dayalbagh since long and boys and girls and men and women both old and young have been regularly taking part in it. The necessity of social service is now being increasingly felt all over the country and it is to be hoped that keeping this need in view you will join in the social service work that may be carried on here."
