CELEBRATION OF 100 YEAR OF RADHASOAMI SATSANG IN 1961

Speech delivered by Param Guru Huzur Mehtaji Maharaj on the occasion of celebration of  100 years of Radhasoami Satsang in 1961

    "Param Purush Puran Dhani Huzur Soamiji Maharaj was bom on the night of Monday, the 24 August, 1818 in a very small house in one of the narrowest streets of Agra which I recently visited and it was there that He was pleased to declare the Radhasoami Satsang open to one and all on Basant Day in 1861. Satsang continued to be held in the same place for 15 years thereafter. In the time of Huzur Maharaj, Satsang was usually held in Pipalmandi in the inner courtyard which could hardly accommodate 60 or 70 persons. None other than those August Personalities could then imagine that the Satsang will one day have such a big organization as at present or that its followers would number hundreds of thousands and would be found in all parts of the world.

     Though the beginnings of the Satsang movement were very small, yet the potentialities were great and this was bound to be, for Merciful Radhasoami Himself had laid the foundations of the Satsang movement and as Sarkar Sahab has emphasized, the Supreme Current, which assumed the Human Form, would not return to its Original Abode till the redemption of the entire creation is effected, The Satsang has therefore grown continuously throughout the 100 years which end today, the Basant Day, 21" January, 1961.

      Undoubtedly, it is a day of great rejoicing and happiness today in the Satsang world, as the Satsang infant of the year 1861 has made continuous progress during all these years and has attained the age of hundred years, but a very heavy responsibility rests on all of us who are connected with the Satsang Organization in any capacity whatsoever, for our attitude and activity may aid or obstruct further progress of the movement.!!!

राधास्वामी सतसंग शताब्दी समारोह के अवसर पर परम गुरु हुजूर मेहताजी महाराज का संदेश

  “परम पुरुष पूरन धनी हुजूर स्वामीजी महाराज आगरा शहर की एक बहुत तंग गली में एक छोटे से मकान में जिसे मैंने हाल ही में देखा पैदा हुए थे और इसी मुकाम पर 1861 में बसंत के दिन सतसंग आम जारी करने का ऐलान करने की मौज फ़रमाई । इसके बाद करीब 15 साल तक इसी जगह पर सतसंग होता रहा । हुजूर महाराज के समय में सतसंग आमतौर पर पीपलमंडी में उनके मकान के अंदरुनी आँगन में होता था जिसमें मुश्किल से 60 या 70 व्यक्ति बैठ सकते थे । उस वक़्त इन महापुरुषों के अलावा और कोई यह ख्याल भी नहीं कर सकता था कि एक दिन सतसंग बढ़कर वर्तमान समय का विशाल संगठन बन जावेगा और सतसंग के अनुयायी बढ़कर लाखों तक पहुँच जावेंगे और दुनियाँ भर में सभी जगहों में पाए जावेंगे ।

    हॉलाकि सतसंग प्रगति का प्रारम्भ अत्यंत छोटे पैमाने पर हुआ था परन्तु उसकी शक्तियाँ महान थीं , और ऐसा होना लाजिमी ही था क्योंकि स्वयं राधास्वामी दयाल ने सतसंग तहरीक की बुनियाद डाली थी और जैसा कि सरकार साहब ने इस बात पर जोर दिया था कि निजधार जिसने मनुष्य चोला धारण किया , जब तक कुल रचना का उद्धार न होवेगा , वापस अपने निजधाम में नहीं जावेगी । इसलिए सतसंग सौ वर्ष से लगातार उन्नति और प्रगति कर रहा है । आज 21 जनवरी 1961 के बसंत के दिन सतसंग के सौ वर्ष पूरे हो रहे हैं ।

    निस्संदेह आज का दिन सतसंग जगत में खुश होने और खुशी मनाने का है क्योंकि सतसंग का जो बच्चा 1861 में आज के दिन पैदा हुआ था वह इन तमाम सालों में बराबर तरक्की करता रहा है और अब उसकी उम्र सौ साल पूरी हो चुकी है । लेकिन हम सब पर जो किसी भी हैसियत से सतसंग तहरीक से संबंधित हैं एक अहम और भारी जिम्मेवारी आती है क्योंकि हमारा रवैय्या और हमारी सरगर्मियाँ सतसंग तहरीक की मुफ़ाद में मददगार भी हो सकती हैं और रुकावट भी पैदा कर सकती हैं ।
