     Param Guru Huzur Mehtaji Maharaj was pleased to say in the students Satsang today, the 13" of September, 1937.

    "Dear children, I am happy that I have got an opportunity today for the first time to sit together with you students You would remember that Huzur Sahabji Maharaj, while sitting on the beach of Madras in the evening of the 23" of June 1937, had said that during His life He had never shirked from the performance of His duties and responsibilities. It is evident from this statement of Huzur Sahabji Maharaj that He desired that the Radhasoami Satsang Sabha and all Satsangis should remember that they do not forget their duties and whole-heartedly engage themselves in their performance.

     "Perhaps you are not aware that I was not present at the time of the death of my respected mother, and also some time thereafler at the death of my revered father. I therefore know fully well how unpleasant to the children is the separation from their parents, and how deeply such permanent separation affects their tender and delicate heart leading them either to utter disappointment or at times inspiring them to do great deeds. In the present context also quite a number of our brothers were not present in Madras at the time of Huzur Sahabji Maharaj's departure. I therefore feel that the hearts and minds of all Satsangi brothers and sisters, old and young, must have been affected deeply with feelings mentioned above.

     "The Radhasoami Satsang Sabha has decided to start a programme, the result of which will be that the children of Radhasoami Dayal will not even mistakenly feel that the Hand of Grace has been lifted from their head by the Supreme Father, and that nobody is now thinking about their Welfare You would therefore know that this year the Sabha has arranged for providing (free) milk to students for a period of one month for the present.

     "There is another thought behind this programme and it is that if you will take the milk provided by the Sabha, its natural result will be that the blood so produced will engender a vibrating desire for the seva of Satsang in every nerve and fibre of your being and your progeny will be better than you.

     "If it appears during this month or after the end of this month that the objects kept in view in providing milk (to students) are being fulfilled, it is not unlikely that Satsang may continue the scheme for at least some time more.

     "It is therefore your duty that you should, by your actions, thoughts and daily behaviour prove that the Satsang Sabha can expect that the objects of this scheme will be duly fulfilled. In the end I will again draw your attention to that very meaningful statement which expressed the desire of Huzur Sahabji Maharaj that every Satsangi should consider proper discharge of his responsibilities as his primary duty.

परम गुरु हुजूर मेहताजी महाराज के बचन

बचन नं-1

    13 सितम्बर , 1937 परम गुरू हुजूर मेहताजी महाराज ने आज छात्रों के सतसंग में फ़रमाया - प्यारे बच्चों , मुझे खुशी है कि आज मुझे पहली बार आप सब विद्यार्थियों के साथ इकट्ठा बैठने का अवसर मिला है । आपको याद होगा कि हुजूर साहबजी महाराज ने 23 जून , 1937 को शाम के वक्त मद्रास में समुद्र के किनारे तशरीफ़ रखते हुए फरमाया था कि " मैं ने अपनी जिन्दगी में अपने कर्तव्यों और उत्तरदायित्वों को सरंजाम देने में कभी कोताही नहीं की । हुजूर साहबजी महाराज के इस बचन से मालूम होता है कि उनकी मंशा यह थी कि राधास्वामी सतसंग सभा और सब सतसंगी यह याद रखें कि वे अपने कर्तव्यों को न भूलें और उनके पालन करने में पूरी तनदेही ( तन मन ) के साथ अमल करें ।

     शायद आपको मालूम नहीं कि मैं अपनी पूज्य माता जी और उसके कुछ अर्से के बाद अपने पूज्य पिता जी के देहान्त के समय मौजूद न था । इस वास्ते में खूब जानता हूँ कि बच्चों के लिए अपने माँ बाप की जुदाई कितनी नागवार होती है और ऐसी हमेशा की जुदाई उनके नर्म और नाजुक दिलों पर गहरे असर छोड़ जाती है और उनको या तो बड़ी मायूसी ( निराशता ) की ओर ले जाती है या बाज औक़ात ( कभी कभी ) बड़े बड़े काम करने के लिए उकसाती है । हमारी मौजूदा हालत में भी हममें से अधिकतर भाई हमारे परम पिता हुजूर साहबजी महाराज के देहान्त के वक्त मद्रास में मौजूद नहीं थे , इसलिए मैं महसूस करता हूँ कि उपरोक्त प्रकार के असरात ( प्रभाव ) हम सब सतसंगी भाइयों और बहिनों , छोटों और बड़ों , सबके दिल व दिमाग पर बड़े गहरे नक्श कर गए होंगे ।

     राधास्वामी सतसंग सभा ने एक ऐसी कार्यवाही करने का फैसला किया है जिसका नतीजा यह होगा कि राधास्वामी दयाल के बच्चे गलती से भी यह महसूस न कर पायेंगे कि अब उनके सिर पर से परम पिता की दया का हाथ उठ गया है और यह कि अब उनकी भलाई का ख्याल कोई नहीं कर रहा है । चुनाँचे आपको मालूम होगा कि इस साल फिलहाल एक माह के लिए सभा ने विद्यार्थियों को दूध पिलाने का प्रबन्ध किया है ।

    इस कार्यवाही में एक और विचार काम कर रहा है और वह यह कि अगर आप सभा की तरफ़ से दूध पियेंगे तो कुदरतन् ( स्वभावतः ) इसका नतीजा यह होगा कि इस दूध से पैदा हुआ खून आपके रग - रग में सतसंग की सेवा के लिए मौजजन होगा ( लहरायेगा ) और यह कि आपकी औलाद आपसे बेहतर ( उत्तम ) होगी ।

     अगर इस माह में या माह के खत्म होने पर यह मालूम हुआ कि जो अगराज ( उद्देश्य ) इस दूध के पिलाने में मद्देनजर ( दृष्टि के सामने ) हैं , वे पूरे हो रहे हैं तो नामुमकिन नहीं है कि सतसंग इस माह के बाद भी कम से कम कुछ अरसे के लिए इस स्कीम ( Scheme ) को जारी रखे । इसलिए आप सब का यह फ़र्ज है कि आप अपने विचारों और कर्मों और दैनिक बरताव से सिद्ध करें कि सतसंग सभा इन अगराज़ के पूरा होने की उचित रूप से आशा कर सकती है । अन्त में मैं आपकी तवज्जह ( ध्यान ) फिर उस भावपूर्ण वक्तव्य की ओर ले जाना चाहूँगा जिससे हुजूर साहबजी महाराज की यह मुराद थी कि हर एक सतसंगी अपने उत्तरदायित्वों को उत्तम ढंग से निबाहना अपना मुख्य कर्तव्य समझे ।
